Consider this a warning for all you traveling through Detroit Metropolitan (DTW) airport: If your trip begins there, you will have one more inconvenience as you will be required by TSA to pull out all electronic devices larger than a cellphone and put it/them in a separate bin for further inspection. Make sure that it still has a charge because you might be asked to turn it on to sure the agents that it is what it appears: a device to record thoughts and visions.
As new wrinkles show up, TSA attempts to stay ahead for our protection. I have always pulled my iPad out and placed it in a separate bin so this is no change to me. At least, being over 75, I no longer have to take off my shoes.
